Quilting on a Domestic Sewing Machine Workshop

Quilting on a Domestic Sewing Machine - Workshop With Cheri’ Hanschu

Prairie Flower Crafts in Alden

January 15, 2021 - 9am - 4pm - *set up begins at 8:15

We will be walking your machine through the paces during this class. Students will learn a variety of quilting designs that represent a spectrum of techniques using their walking foot and seam guide. We will also experience free motion / ruler work. Students will be able to apply these skills to a variety of table toppers, childrens quilts and small projects - and move into larger projects. Samples of projects will be shown to help you find more depth in your creativeness. One will be able to say they “Did the whole quilt on their own!”

Cheri’ Hanschu will be leading this workshop. She started sewing by sitting on her Grandmother’s lap and inherited that same machine. She has made some type of baby quilt for about everyone she knows and is now on her second generation of gifting. Table toppers and child quilts are her favorites as they can easily be finished in a day or weekend. She has grown into bigger machines and enjoys all things “quilty” while sharing her love of fiber arts with others.
