Quilting on a Domestic Sewing Machine Workshop II

Quilting on a Domestic Sewing Machine II - Workshop With Cheri’ Hanschu

Prairie Flower Crafts in Alden

February 3, 2024 9am - 4pm - *set up begins at 8:30

Get ready to advance to spheres, lines, curves and mix it all up. This is the workshop all of the Quilting on a Domestic I people have been waiting for - let's take all those skills and shake it up to create and play! Cheri' is ready to blow your mind with simple techniques to create awesome results!

Please be sure that you have taken the Quilting on a Domestic I class first, as this class will take all of those skills and we will just fly with them - get ready to create and brainstorm on how you can use these learned skills and keep them at the ready in your quilty toolbox of knowledge!

Cheri’ Hanschu will be leading this workshop. She started sewing by sitting on her Grandmother’s lap and inherited that same machine. She has made some type of baby quilt for about everyone she knows and is now on her second generation of gifting. Table toppers and child quilts are her favorites as they can easily be finished in a day or weekend. She has grown into bigger machines and enjoys all things “quilty” while sharing her love of fiber arts with others.

Materials List

1. Sewing machine with walking foot or dual feed and a seam guide (guide bar). The seam guide is required in this class. Depending upon your machine, we can improvise. Please make sure your machine is clean, oiled and in good working order with a fresh TOPSTITCH needle* installed. An open toe foot is also preferred.

2. Sewing machine parts - your cord and foot pedal!
